Wrecking Ball

When we are willing to release the tools that God has given us, we give Him the thumbs up to renovate.
Forgiveness can be like a wrecking ball, if we use it. It has the ability to knock down the walls that are preventing His healing. Walls of pride, resentment, walls of disappointment, walls of hurt and pain.

Now I’m not saying the things we feel and hold onto are irrelevant, or that they are undeserving of validation. I am simply saying if we hold on to them, it prevents God’s movement within our lives.

Walls creep up and before we know it, we are closed off, we are no longer able to see past the separation.
At first it’s a self protection, we curl up and get comfy cozy. The next thing you know, it’s a little too cramped for comfort. Let’s face it, It’s miserable. The more we add to the wall the thicker it gets. Nothing comes in, nothing goes out.
Who are we kidding, this is no means for a protection plan! This wall is suppressing all room for growth, it’s suffocating, it’s stifling, it’s isolating!

It’s time to revamp!

So what powers the wrecking ball?
The power is In The Love of The Lord, Jesus Christ! It’s in The Love that He displays for us each and everyday! It’s in the example he set and in the teaching that we find in His word.

In order to even begin to demolish this wall, we need to give permission for God’s Love to intervene and override all the the bad experiences. Stop relying on self, God is your Defender and your Deliverer!
Walls are built by not releasing and letting go.
1 Corinthians 13:5 says Love keeps no record of wrong.
We make the choice to hold on and we make the choice to let go.
There is a time and a season for everything under the heavens, a time to build and a time to tear down!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 gives such powerful description of Love. This is a reflection of the love that God desires for us to have for one another.
4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

It endures all things! I repeat that because enduring is usually associated with suffering through something, coping, tolerating, pushing through with out quitting, to endure is to be triumphant!
But it doesn’t always feel good, does it? To endure is to Love even when it hurts.

When we are willing to let go, we say Yes to God’s Blessings!
Don’t wait in the dark for someone else to begin this project.
Quit letting fear and sadness stand in the way of God’s plan for you.
Isaiah 58:8
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
May God Bless you as you take the steps to release His Love! Tear down the walls of defeat and receive the healing that is waiting to break through.
