Pray for a Pause!

One day I over heard the kids fighting, My son had said something hateful and hit his sister. I said “that’s it!” ..”get in your room!” I rushed over, eager to lead the way, of course scolding and reprimanding him with every step. When I came back to where my daughter was, she was sitting in the room with the tv paused. I said, “what are you doing?” She said, “well I don’t want him to miss the movie, so I’m pausing it until he’s able to come back out.”
Seriously? I thought .. wow that’s love.
I said, “you don’t have to do that”, but she said, “no I’ll wait.”

It melted my heart.

The ability to hit pause when someone has hurt you, that’s something that we rarely see in most adults. This was purely reflected from Our Father. She was able to rest in the idea that the situation was temporary, but her love for him was not. Even though he was nasty to her, she cared that he really wanted to see that movie. Instead of allowing resentment to grow, she thought about his future feelings. Never mind she completely disregarded her own. I mean that’s pretty selfless.
God sure shows his pure love out of the innocence of his children. I can’t say I would have been as grace filled, heck I would have grabbed my popcorn, sat back and enjoyed that movie in peace!

What if we made a conscious effort to hit pause.
What if we actually Applied God’s Truth to Our Life!
What if we chose to hit pause in the very moment we are wronged. The actions and behavior of others , have absolutely no right to afflict our Godly heart. We can’t let the hurt override the love. What if our trust was in our Father to step in and handle the situation appropriately? What if we rested in that? What if for once, we disregard our feelings and we choose to rise above them.
We have the ability to hit pause and pull from His Beautiful Strength. God’s Holy Presence is always ready and available to help us within that moment..,IF we choose to go in His direction.
If we let our emotions stifle His light, then we are only hampering the very thing that is able to heal and overcome. It’s that same Grace and Love that was once given to us.

My son did have to endure the consequences for his actions that day. The beautiful part was his chance to witness a moment of grace. When he walked out of his room and saw his sister waiting for him. I knew in my heart that he received a lesson that he would be able to carry on with him.

Scripture says, above all love one other Deeply because love covers a multitude of sin. When we allow ourselves to be a vessel, his light projects and exposes the situation for what it is.

Be Still and Let God be your defense.

Two wrongs do not make a right, so counteract the wrong with Christ!

Romans 12:17 says do not pay back evil for evil, instead respect what is right for all men.

Ephesians 5:13
But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

With man this is impossible, but with God All things are possible.
Even if you have to say this out loud.

IM Hitting Pause!

Then Pray!
Lord you are my defense, you are my justice system. Lord thank for your deliverance!
Lord I ask for the strength to Love this person right Now! Help me to remember that I am living in a temporary attack! Help me to stay open to your counsel! Lord, help me to choose your love over resentment! Help me to rest and Trust that you have this situation in your hands! I receive your peace, help me to hold onto it! In JESUS Name! ❤️️

Pray for a Pause!

Take off the Death Clothes

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4818

You Are Alive In Christ, it’s time to take off the coverings meant for Death and Go!
Walk! Take off the Old self and proudly sport the New! When Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead He said “take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Remember Lazarus was dead for 4 days. His body was wrapped with linens and placed in the tomb.
When we were in sin, we were dead and wrapped with the same preparation for death.

Ephesians 2
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

After the resurrection of Christ, Peter walked into the empty tomb, he found the linens that were wrapped around JESUS. They were lying there.
JESUS took off the dead clothes, and so should we!

Brothers and Sisters we have to set the Example for our future siblings. There are souls that are looking and seeking! Right now they may have no idea what they are even looking for, but they know they are tired of the same old cycle. They are tired wearing death day after day. I’m telling you, when God is displayed in our lives, it draws people in for a closer look.
When they see His work Glorified within our actions and behavior it’s hard to ignore. We are to be set apart for a reason, if we are blending in and wearing our old, how does it help them to find the New?

Who ever Finds Him, Finds Life!
Proverbs 8:35

Some of us are new to the family and some have been in it as long as they can remember. Just because we have proclaimed Jesus as The Lord of our life, it does not always mean we are setting a good example of it.

The thing is, the moment we accept The Lord as our savior, our New life begins. A New Creation is Born. Our head is adorned with a crown of life and our feet are positioned on a path and its up to us to walk.
It’s up to us to acknowledge WHO directs each step.
Sadly, a lot of us get lost in the glory of our forgiveness and we take it for granted.
Our legs are healed, but we forget to walk. We are forgiven and yet we sit.
We forget about the mission. We forget that there are people who desperately hunger for something more.

Isaiah 52:7  How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Romans 6
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life

You are never too young or too old in this walk to make a difference.

Eyes are on the proclaimed Christians.
Will we be perfect and never step off the path? No, this is why we should be careful not to get too haughty or too mighty. No one is exempt from needing a correction. If you are going to receive Grace you need to be able to Give it.
Remember ..Forgiven, Loved, Redeemed!!
Not by Our works but by HIS!
No power of darkness Can separate us from His Love!

So are you getting the point of the walk?

The Father of the prodigal son still loved that foolish boy, even while he was off eating the pig food.
The point is, he was in a place where he didn’t belong. His place was at home with the Father. He was not to be wearing rags or eating scraps meant for animals. He was to be eating the finest food and sporting..,as scripture says, the BEST robe. Luke 15

What is The Point of being washed and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, if we are going to turn around and enter a fashion show wearing our OLD dirty clothes?
What are new believers and non believers to gain by watching this?

Why eat junk and share it with our friends and family, when we have The Bread of Life? Why cover with rags, when The Father has given us the Finest robe?

There is a reason we were called to walk! There is a reason we were given The Holy Spirit “The Helper” while we walk here on this earth.

When we keep our feet on the path we are showing others, God in Action! We are a walking, living, proof of His Glory!!
Ephesians 4 :17-32
17So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Philippians 4
8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, PRACTICE these things,

May God Bless Your Walk Today!

Watch Out! When we Vent the pot, the Steam is Hot!

IMG_4562.JPGBy: Jessica Huber

Watch Out! When we Vent the pot, the Steam is Hot!

So many times we get together with a good friend and the RELEASE begins! We UnlOaD! Are we doing ourselves a disservice? We have to look at it through spiritual eyes and ask, are we being harmed by the excess steam?
It’s definitely good to have a close friend to discuss our concerns and share our life experiences, but we need to be mindful of the atmosphere that we are creating. It’s not good for us or the friend lending the ear. I’m not saying to bottle everything up, but sometimes it can start a frenzy of unnecessary negativity. We need to remember to be careful that in the process of sharing our concerns, we are not taking back what we have previously placed in Gods hands.

Let’s say you are serving as the sounding board, as brothers and sisters In Christ, we need to be the ones steering the conversation in His direction. We need to be Charging the Faith and witnessing with truth. Be an encourager, notice when your friend is too close to the situation, notice when your friend is in danger of looking through worldly eyes. Be that for them! Point out scripture, reassure them That God is in control!

Its critical to Have God as our number One Go To!
Give it to Him and Trust! Pray that in the meantime, He will strengthen your self control.  Ask Him to fill you with His Comfort and Peace. He is the Only one that can take care of this situation properly. Give it and Leave it!

Every time you complain or Hash a situation out Again, unfortunately your taking it back into your own hands.
Next time you or your friend decides to bring a vent session to the table, first ask ..

Have We given this problem to God yet?

What will we gain from talking about this?

If you are looking for a prayer Warrior, by all means proceed! If you are looking for someone who can encourage and point you to Christ and His Word, then proceed! If you need a little cry, let the floodgates Go!
But…
If you see that the conversation is leading to reliving worry and hurt, then .. Drop IT! You are at risk of being burned!
If God has it, then You do not need to stir up emotions that are already being dealt with! Stay In Gods Peace!
Talk about something that makes you Smile!! Enjoy this precious time with your friend, laugh!

1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Ephesians 4:29
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

2 Timothy 1:7                                               For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

God Bless!

Who Are You Wearing?

By: Jessica Huber

Who Are You Wearing?
This is a question that is asked a lot on a Red Carpet, a special event usually for the stars of  this world.

If you look at yourself today, Who do you wear?

When people see your walk, can they tell right away or do they need to question?

Who do you represent in this world?
Do you shine?
Do people say, I want that!
Do they ask you where they can get it?
Do you only wear it for the Red Carpet events?

JESUS offers Something in a One Size Fits All. It’s woven with only the finest handcrafted material.
Salvation! Love! Genteelness! Kindness! Righteousness! Faith!
Truth! Hope! Prosperity!
Joy! Peace! Comfort!
Forgiveness! LIFE!
Put It On! Put Him On!

With Christ, EVERYDAY is a Red Carpet Event!  You are His Shining Star! Do not misunderstand, you do not shine by your own special ability, you shine because You Are His! You Shine because of the red that He poured out! You are here so He Can Shine Through You!

Ephesians 4:24
and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Yes, if Jesus Christ is The Lord of Your Life , this is your Attire! Don’t let it hang in the closet! Wear it to work, wear it to the grocery store, wear it around friends, wear it with your family, wear it Everywhere! Remember we are not representing the world, we represent God’s Kingdom within the world.

Matthew 5:16
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Isaiah 61:10
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Cloth yourself in His Protection!

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 PUT ON the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore PUT ON the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Who are you wearing today?

God Bless!

feel < Know

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4328

I started to write that I hope you feel the presence of God today. I hope that you feel His love and see his hand in your life. Then I backed up a bit, what I Really hope is that You KNOW Him. The Truth is, feelings are very human, they are intertwined with our emotions and have the ability to play with our thoughts. They can become overwhelming and at the same time, a little deceptive.
We will not always feel His presence. We will not always feel His love or even see His hand in our lives. Our emotions can blind us from that. Sometimes we do not see or feel the workings until it’s all said and done. Pain not only stings it stuns. Just because we do not feel him in the time of the struggle, it does not mean He is absent!
Our emotions and feelings hide His position from our sight, if we are not rooted in the His truth.
In the middle of a painful struggle our hurt can deceive us into thinking we are very much alone.
The pain says I’m alone, I see no hope in this situation, WHERE ARE YOU GOD?
The TRUTH says, He will NEVER leave or forsake You!
JESUS said I am The Way The Truth and The Life!
ABIDE in His Truth today regardless of feeling.
KNOW His Word!
KNOW HIM!
KNOW the Love of God!
KNOW His Position within your life!
KNOW his works within your surroundings.

You may not always feel, but when it comes to God, KNOWING is the battle Won!
KNOW This!

Proverbs 28:26                                                    He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But he who walks wisely will be delivered.

Deuteronomy 31:8
“The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Romans 8:3-39
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 11:1                                                       11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

It is My Hope That You KNOW Who You Are IN CHRIST JESUS!

Galatians 3:26
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Rom 6
14For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

He told us these things so we would rely on His Truth and not on our circumstances.

John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

1 John 4:16
16And so we KNOW and rely on the love God has for us.
17 God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

God Bless! Stand Firm and Be Confident!! KNOW!

Beautiful Weed

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4705

Consider the dandelion, for most adults they are weeds that show up everywhere. We see them as a hindrance, we see no use for their existence. Then After they have turned, we see them blowing around leaving empty stems and so quickly the cycle starts again. What an annoyance!

Matthew 18:3
And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

What do children see when they look at a field of dandelions?
FLOWERS
GIFTS
WISHES
HOPES
What do they do with them? They
MAKE-BELIEVE
They ADORN their heads with CROWNS. They wave them in the air and spin around with JOY!
They See the beauty of the Dandelion from Start to Finish.

The Gifts we receive in Life are like the dandelion. We do not always look at them the way children do. If we do see the beauty in the yellow, we do not  always appreciate the moment of change, when we are left standing with an empty stem.
God’s gifts are BLESSINGS From START to FINISH. It may not always look that way for us. Sometimes we do encounter weeds. We face setbacks, we face ugliness or loss. This stage is Still The Gift, We only Need to See It THAT WAY!
God has a Vision beyond our understanding!

James 1

2Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Start looking at His gifts with a thankful heart no matter what Stage you are in. Have HOPE, Have JOY, ADORN Your head with HIS BLESSINGS because YOU ARE HIS!
BELIEVE in His Promises! Recall His truth while in the midst of a change.
Look forward to the many seeds and lessons that He will spread from this moment.

We go through many seasons in this life and every single one will serve its purpose. The true gift, is that God is with us every step of the way.

Philippians 1:6
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

John 11:4
But when Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.”

God Bless you today and may you find His Love within the beautiful weeds!

Push!

By: Jessica Huber

Now is the time to Push through the burn!

You are in the middle of a temporary pain. Trust and Believe that there is a God given Beauty, waiting to be delivered.

Proverbs 4:25
Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.

When I was in labor with my son, my contractions were pretty intense. Like a lot of woman, I had previously worked out a plan with my doctor for pain management. It turns out that I waited a little too long to put that plan into action. My body went into GAME ON mode and my mind went into, TIME OUT mode! I could have ripped that bed railing right off! My mind was focused on all the pain of the moment and as if that wasn’t enough, I was also thinking of the pain to come.
It set in, I was going to feel every bit of this birth! That was a scary realization! My support team, from what I remember, they were also consumed with my pain and trying to find the doctor. I heard and felt the sense of helplessness in my husbands voice.

For a moment I was utterly out of my mind and out of control in pain! I then felt a cheek right against my cheek, a firm steady voice of the nurse. She was right there to redirect my focus. “You are doing this, you are going to push through this pain because your baby is just beyond it.”

You can ask any mother out there, and she will tell you the same. Love overrides that pain. As soon as you see that little face, as soon as you hear that cry! Love overrides!
The nurse was my steady, she had dealt with this day in and day out! She knew the amount of firmness to put into her tone, she knew I was physically in need of a grounding.
After all, there was no backing out, no quitting. This nurse was able to guid my thoughts past my pain and straight to the prize.

So this was an actual labor and delivery I’m talking about, I know not everyone has experienced giving birth. I do know that there isn’t a person on this planet who hasn’t experienced some kind of life pain, some kind of life labor. We know that life doesn’t always work out according to our plans. The Next thing you know the intensity of our surrounding situation gets so overbearing so overwhelming that we lose focus. We fix our eyes on the struggle. Emotionally and physically we are distracted and weak. We not only feel the pain of the moment, we let fear talk us into future pains to come.

We all go through labors in life, but one thing we can be certain of is God’s plan.
When we put our trust in Christ no matter how painful a situation, no matter how scary or how ugly life can get, we can trust that there will be a blessing beyond the pain.

That is His promise to us! He works all things for the good of those who love Him. We may end up in a position that we didn’t expect but God is Great, He can take any one situation and use it to create multiple babies!
Beautiful, Full Healthy Babies!

Our God can do that! He can do that because He is an Almighty, Loving, and Merciful God. He is a God of Strength and Peace! He is Steady, Firm and Gentle all at the same time. He knows exactly what we need to get our focus back in the game!
In Him, quitting would be in vain.

When we are out of our minds swirling in the storms of life, do not forget who’s cheek is pressed against yours!
Do not forget who anchors you.
I know it’s rough, I know your tired, but now is the time to refocus, trust and believe, He knows what’s coming next.

Be careful who you reach for as your support, Friends and family may mean well but they may not always give us advice that will point to The Lord and His will. Their emotions can be tied to ours as well as the situation, so Seek Him First!

Whether you’re Laboring through a struggling marriage or a drifting friendship, seek Him First! Whether, you are suffering through a loss of a loved one, or battling an illness, or dealing with financial uncertainties, seek Him First. If it’s addiction or a prodigal child, seek Him, Let Him be your Steady. Know that you are not alone, you are Loved by a God that deals with this stuff day in and day out! Let Him be your steady.

You are going to do this! Push through the burn, it is temporary! Believe that God has a Baby just beyond it!

IMG_3983 Let His Love Override and reach for the prize!
