The Pity Party

By: Jessica Huber

The Pity Party! When our expectations do not match with our surroundings and we refuse to bring the moment to God!

The Christian life is not perfect, we have troubles just like anyone else on this planet. We also have temptations to resist within our troubled times, resentment, bitterness, jealousy, and envy come knocking on our door.
We have The “it’s not Fair” moment and the “Why me?” moment. It’s all wrapped up in an ugly invitation to the pity party.

Sure everything you are feeling could possibly stem from the truth, you may really have a valid point as to why you feel this way, but we have to bring this moment to God! This IS the key factor that will determine our Peace. We either bow down to our surroundings or we Bow to God!
It’s our decision which force we allow to consume!

Who do you think sends out the invitation to the Pity Party? Its satan, he wants us to look around at all the things going wrong, and let me tell you, sometimes he gets our attention by blasting us with one JERK of a BUNDLE! We focus on it, we dwell on it, and his plan gets to work, he sets the atmosphere to sooth the flesh! We walk in the door and the beat of the music is 🎶Me -Me -Me-Me-Me! 🎶All the things that justify this moment are served up on a platter. Before we know it, we are munching away, we allow them to magnify the emotions within our body! We get lost in the self pity and no longer hear the reminder of Who’s in control! While we are attending this party, we block out the voice of The Lord and forget His Power and His Promises.

We all have these moments!
When I catch myself in a moment like this it’s usually while I’m dancing away to the beat! I will not even try to deny stepping foot into a pity party. Oh ya I’v gone in, I’v gotten sucked in, I’v had a couple snacks, but at some point you have to welcome the Voice of The Lord.
You Let God burst in like the Father that He is! HEAR His Voice!! “CHILD …WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?”
“I know it’s not fair, I know this situation pains you.” “I know that in your eyes it could be so much better, but that is not where you are right now.” “You know Me and you know that I work All things for the good of those who love me.” “Trust!” “You are going to get through this because you know my truth.” ” I wouldn’t allow for you to be in this season if It didn’t fit into a bigger picture.” “There is not a spot that you stand on, in which the great I AM is unaware of!” “Remember you have Purpose, You are MINE and I will not leave you!” “Now put down that jealousy, put down that self pity, put down that bitterness and Hand it over!”
He may even say, “get away from those friends who encouraged you to come here!” “Maybe it would be a good idea to stay away from them.”

Allow Father God to select the friends you hang out with, friends that will remind you of His voice! Be the friend who will guide others to His truth. Link arms and walk away from the invitation!

Let’s picture God Literally snatching us out of the party and dragging us home!
Because if we think about it, within a moment of turmoil we truly behave like immature, self entitled, juveniles! We are Unwilling to listen to the voice of reason when the party is cranked up to its full volume. What Trust? It Goes out the window!

Guys God’s Voice has to override! It has to rise above the noise!
Christians do not have a free pass when it comes to the struggles of life. We have temptations, we have episodes of doubt, we do not always respond the way we should. We do not always have it all together like some may think! But we Do have a Savior, we have a Relationship with Our Maker! The One Who steps in when we are tempted to be consumed. He is our steady within the chaos!
If we refuse to listen to His council when things get crazy, we are sure to get swept up and carried away, even worse we tend to invite others to come along.
Listen to His Voice!

He not only knows us better than anyone, but he knows our situation better than anyone. We have a God who is empathetic to our earthly trials. Remember, He was here in the flesh!

Hebrews 4:15
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

Let His Voice give you the discernment to keep you out of the pity party.

Psalm 43:5
Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Let’s face it, we all get a little caught up in self pity from time to time. Learn to catch yourself before you end up getting cozy. Reach out to God for HIS Invitation. His Love and Truth is waiting to guide you back Home.
God Bless!

Be Courageous

IMG_4876

Be courageous, its a Commandment!

Joshua 1:9
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

When we think of being courageous we think of being strong and fearless!

John Wayne once said, “Courage is being scared to death..and saddling up anyway.”

So many times, our fears overshadow what we are being called to do! We can’t stand to be uncomfortable! Um, the enemy knows this. We also allow this! The reason we are called to be Courageous in this walk, is because God knows He has our back. But do WE know this?

Here is something we hear all the time.
” God won’t give you more that what you can handle” honestly this can lead to a false sense of self. It gives the idea that we rely on our own abilities.. or that God is relying on our ability.
Satan has all kinds of trickery floating around.
Truth is we get stuff thrown in our direction All the time, that we can’t handle. If our thoughts are not fixed on the foundation of Christ, then we quickly sink.

Let’s redirect this statement.

We will not go through anything in this life that GOD can’t handle!

Will there still be pain, loss, and death? Will we still have moments where we are Uncomfortable? Ye,  but when we Focus on God our thoughts are shifted from the temporary to The ETERNAL. Everything we face here is temporary. God Is our Eternal Glory!

2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Romans 8:18
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

In a round about way, JESUS said that we would encounter all kinds of junk here in this world. He also said he would supply us with His peace when we need it.

John 16:33
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear

Courage is Believing! Courage takes Faith!
Better yet, replace the word courage with the word faith, from now on! The next time you are called to something that takes courage, remember to Fight with Faith! Remember His Perfect Love!

Isaiah 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

It takes courage to be a Follower of Jesus Christ. Speak Out and share His word. Stand Up at the right time. Be Firm in a world that is constantly going against Him, constantly adjusting, constantly changing.

We Serve a God that is the same Yesterday Today and Forever!
Courage shows up when we realize He is with us. God goes before us and Dwells within us.

Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world!

Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

So when God says, did I not Command you to be courageous, He’s saying didn’t I say in Matthew 6:34 Not to worry! Look, I I AM hear! I’m telling you to Step Out because, I Guid your Steps. I’m commanding you to lean on Me! That is What a Call to be courageous is, It’s to know we stand on His strength, not our own.

In Joshua 1:7-8 he is told to remember the laws and not to turn from the right or the left of them, to be careful not to let the word depart from his mouth. He’s basically being told to FIX HIS EYES on the TRUTH!

Matthew 19:26
And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

May your strength rest on the Lord! Fight with Faith and Be Courageous!!!!
God Bless!

Wrecking Ball

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4863

When we are willing to release the tools that God has given us, we give Him the thumbs up to renovate.
Forgiveness can be like a wrecking ball, if we use it. It has the ability to knock down the walls that are preventing His healing. Walls of pride, resentment, walls of disappointment, walls of hurt and pain.

Now I’m not saying the things we feel and hold onto are irrelevant, or that they are undeserving of validation. I am simply saying if we hold on to them, it prevents God’s movement within our lives.

Walls creep up and before we know it, we are closed off, we are no longer able to see past the separation.
At first it’s a self protection, we curl up and get comfy cozy. The next thing you know, it’s a little too cramped for comfort. Let’s face it, It’s miserable. The more we add to the wall the thicker it gets. Nothing comes in, nothing goes out.
Who are we kidding, this is no means for a protection plan! This wall is suppressing all room for growth, it’s suffocating, it’s stifling, it’s isolating!

It’s time to revamp!

So what powers the wrecking ball?
The power is In The Love of The Lord, Jesus Christ! It’s in The Love that He displays for us each and everyday! It’s in the example he set and in the teaching that we find in His word.

In order to even begin to demolish this wall, we need to give permission for God’s Love to intervene and override all the the bad experiences. Stop relying on self, God is your Defender and your Deliverer!
Walls are built by not releasing and letting go.
1 Corinthians 13:5 says Love keeps no record of wrong.
We make the choice to hold on and we make the choice to let go.
There is a time and a season for everything under the heavens, a time to build and a time to tear down!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 gives such powerful description of Love. This is a reflection of the love that God desires for us to have for one another.
4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

It endures all things! I repeat that because enduring is usually associated with suffering through something, coping, tolerating, pushing through with out quitting, to endure is to be triumphant!
But it doesn’t always feel good, does it? To endure is to Love even when it hurts.

When we are willing to let go, we say Yes to God’s Blessings!
Don’t wait in the dark for someone else to begin this project.
Quit letting fear and sadness stand in the way of God’s plan for you.
Isaiah 58:8
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
May God Bless you as you take the steps to release His Love! Tear down the walls of defeat and receive the healing that is waiting to break through.

Food For Thought

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4859

Revelation 3:20
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

What a personal offer. That’s How much He Loves us. That’s How much He wants to be Involved. When we dine with someone, it’s not just about scarfing some food down and then off we go. It’s about conversation, intimacy, time set aside.

There is nothing like a dining experience with The Lord. We consume His Love and He fills us with His Peace. He is sure to have more than enough joy, kindness, and faithfulness to take and share.

John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Make Sure you Can tell the deference between His voice and the voice of the world. Know Him.

Get acquainted!
Notice that He Knocks, He doesn’t force or intrude.

Often times we don’t even realize it, but we are dining  with the wrong house guest. Feeding off of The wrong source of food. We end up digesting it and the result can be many things, confusion, fear, doubt, anxiety depression, regret, shame, negativity. Think of these as symptoms of an allergic reaction.

KNOW what to look for!

If these are the symptoms you are experiencing while dining, then the food is spoiled. Test the food and the spirit. Match it with the Word of God. The enemy loves to try and trick us with distorted truth and Mimicry.
Our flesh has an appetite for particular ingredients and the enemy knows that, he is sure to build a menu that appeals.

In this case it’s ok to be a picky eater!

1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Philippians 1:9-10
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ;

Who have you been dining with? Are you taking the leftovers and feeding it to your friends and family?
If you are, then you need to make sure it’s safe and healthy.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21

Are you hungry an hour later?
Do you need to medicate after eating?
Just a little food for thought.
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

In His Hands

By: Jessica Huber

How Amazing and Skillful are God’s Hands? How wonderful to know that we are in the safety of His loving hands?
Psalms 139:7 says
Where can I go from your Spirit?

Have you ever seen a farmer without calloused hands? Think of a mechanic, their hands are imprinted with stains. A True Workman has their trade embedded within every crevice.

The Creator knows, every inch of His masterpiece inside and out.

Isaiah 49:16
16See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.

Have you ever written something on your hand?
Most likely, it was something important and you didn’t want to forget. You do it so
It would be right there in your sight..Right?

We are Imprinted On The Savior’s Hands!
His hands were marked so that ours may be clean. When He shouted, it is Finished, he meant it. His work was done and complete. His Hands bear the reminder, He does not forget and we should not forget.

Isaiah 53:5
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.

He Is The Craftsman of Our Entire Being, working and shaping All Things for Good. We are not forgotten.
We are embedded, engraved, imprinted and Important!

Psalm 111:7
7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.

Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Do you know that?
KNOW it Full and Well!! Believe It!

John 20:27
Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Ephesians 3
14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Mark 16:19
After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the RIGHT HAND OF GOD

Know that The Work of the Lord is Finished, Rest In His Hands Today.

God Bless

Blinded By The Light

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4848

But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. Proverbs 4:19

When we have been in darkness for so long our eyes conform to it. When we are shown the light it can be a blinding experience. A normal reaction is to reject it, to put your hands up in defense and shy away from it. Even when the dark is a place full of failure, it’s familiar. It becomes a lair of half truth, creating a false sense of pleasure. It’s deceiving and while we are feeling our way around, we end up creating our own image of what the truth looks like. We truly do not know what makes us stumble. Until it’s exposed.

When we begin to step out of our past and allow God’s light to shine within our life, it’s not always the most comfortable experience. It’s not always easy to accept. We find that the coping mechanism we used while dwelling in the dark, are no longer useful in the Light.
When we have gotten comfortable with our half truths and believed them, they fight and try to hang on. They try to pull us back and talk us into justifying them. It is hard to come terms with our misunderstanding. It’s difficult to admit that what we once knew and previously followed, goes against the very Hand That Heals us.
Here is where the hope comes in,
Whether this is something you or a loved one is struggling through,
Hang In There! Don’t Give Up!

God is Light and In Him there is No darkness AT ALL!

Jesus Is The Way, The Truth and The Life
The Light Of Life!
He is the Alpha and the Omega!
When He Starts He Finishes!!!

John 1:5 says
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

When God’s word is revealed, we can either experience it as a RESCUE or a bust. That will take a little self check. If we are feeling defensive we can ask ourselves, why am I feeling offended to this exposure? No one likes to admit that they are wrong. So ask Him! Lord, what is making me cover my eyes? God help me to push any pride aside, drop my hands, help my heart to reflect your humbleness.

When Jesus revealed himself to Saul on the road to Damascus, he was blinded for 3 days. Goodness it’s no wonder, look at the darkness that Saul came from. Oh, but once the scales fell from His eyes, God used Him for Victory!

JESUS is All about the Saul to Paul Moment! He will bring this forth.

It may be bright and blinding at first but God’s light leaves no crack or crevice unturned. The dark doesn’t like the exposure so there Will be a bit of a battle.
The question is, how long will we fight?

Ephesians 5:13
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible–and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.

When His Light is shown His Love flows, it reaches the eyes of the heart. It shows Truth In A Way that only Christ Can.

John 1:12
2Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

He is the Light that shines in the world! His Light Transforms The Mind and The Heart! It literally Gives Life!
Open The Shades and let Him In!
Then Shine that Light on a friend!

God Bless!

Living Water

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4565

Have you ever gone through an entire day and not realized till the end of the night, that you didn’t really drink anything all day? You might have sipped on something like coffee to give you a boost or had a beverage during a meal but nothing of any true nourishment. When I have done this, I find myself standing in the kitchen at the end of the night, just chugging down water. It’s so good and refreshing and I’m thinking to myself, “WHY didn’t I just drink more throughout the day?”

“Well,  I was busy and I guess I didn’t think of it.” “I really hadn’t noticed I was thirsty until I was standing in this moment, refilling my glass!”

When we neglect to fill our body with the hydration it needs, it’s not long before we start to notice the symptoms. Muscle cramps and headaches, fatigue, even dry skin. These are the warning signs that our body is in need, sometimes we are not even aware until it’s too late.

Isn’t it wild, how we withhold valuable care without even realizing? We can do this with our spiritual care too! Jesus said “I am the living water.” Our relationship with Him is what nourishes and refreshes our spiritual health.

It’s easy to find yourself in a dry spell. We get busy and we forget that We Need His nourishment! We can’t get what we need by sipping here or there!  Before we know it we are weary and tired, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually. All because, we have withheld His Living Water. We may read a quick devotional or see a bible verse from an app, maybe even recall that visit to church, but it’s not enough. Don’t get me wrong, this is all beneficial, but it is not the same as taking the time to connect. We need to take the time to open up the Word and truly seek on a personal level. It’s about that closeness, that cultivating of the relationship. When we let the noise of the world replace our prayer time, our study, and Worship time, we end up feeling the affects of the neglect. We end up So stinking Thirsty! Except, instead of dry skin that is only surface level, we begin to feel the dryness of the bones. This is what our Lord says of dry bones  “I will put my Spirit IN you and you will live!”

Just like our bodies experience physical warning signs we need to be aware of our spiritual warning signs and reflect a bit. “Why am I weary today?” “Is this why my anxiety is flaring up?” “Today anger got  the best of me.” “Why was I  so offended and hurt?”  Is my  fear bigger than my trust?”

All Warnings that we are in need of major hydration! Remember He has put His Spirit Within! Listen to the prompts and cues from The Holy Spirit. Let Him guid you to that well.  Remember His promise.. YOU WILL LIVE! Soak It In!

When it’s all said and done.. when we finally Cry out for Him, He is There and He is So Refreshing! Its then when we ask, why didn’t I just come to Him, Why didn’t I drink? Why did I wait until now?

We need Him always, not just here and there. He is our main source of Hydration. HE IS The Refreshing LIFE! Scripture tells us that Jesus said, if you drink the water I give you , you will never be thirsty again. So drink it and don’t put the glass down!

Read His word and let it be written on your heart! Share it, Pass it Around! Let It Be IN You, Welling UP and Over Flowing ALWAYS!

Don’t wait until the end of the night to pick up your glass!

Don’t wait until you are left reflecting on the troubles of the day! Give your body the Spiritual Hydration it needs throughout your days!

John 7:37

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.

John 4:14

but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

God Bless and Drink Up!

Pray for a Pause!

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4828

One day I over heard the kids fighting, My son had said something hateful and hit his sister. I said “that’s it!” ..”get in your room!” I rushed over, eager to lead the way, of course scolding and reprimanding him with every step. When I came back to where my daughter was, she was sitting in the room with the tv paused. I said, “what are you doing?” She said, “well I don’t want him to miss the movie, so I’m pausing it until he’s able to come back out.”
Seriously? I thought .. wow that’s love.
I said, “you don’t have to do that”, but she said, “no I’ll wait.”

It melted my heart.

The ability to hit pause when someone has hurt you, that’s something that we rarely see in most adults. This was purely reflected from Our Father. She was able to rest in the idea that the situation was temporary, but her love for him was not. Even though he was nasty to her, she cared that he really wanted to see that movie. Instead of allowing resentment to grow, she thought about his future feelings. Never mind she completely disregarded her own. I mean that’s pretty selfless.
God sure shows his pure love out of the innocence of his children. I can’t say I would have been as grace filled, heck I would have grabbed my popcorn, sat back and enjoyed that movie in peace!

What if we made a conscious effort to hit pause.
What if we actually Applied God’s Truth to Our Life!
What if we chose to hit pause in the very moment we are wronged. The actions and behavior of others , have absolutely no right to afflict our Godly heart. We can’t let the hurt override the love. What if our trust was in our Father to step in and handle the situation appropriately? What if we rested in that? What if for once, we disregard our feelings and we choose to rise above them.
We have the ability to hit pause and pull from His Beautiful Strength. God’s Holy Presence is always ready and available to help us within that moment..,IF we choose to go in His direction.
If we let our emotions stifle His light, then we are only hampering the very thing that is able to heal and overcome. It’s that same Grace and Love that was once given to us.

My son did have to endure the consequences for his actions that day. The beautiful part was his chance to witness a moment of grace. When he walked out of his room and saw his sister waiting for him. I knew in my heart that he received a lesson that he would be able to carry on with him.

Scripture says, above all love one other Deeply because love covers a multitude of sin. When we allow ourselves to be a vessel, his light projects and exposes the situation for what it is.

Be Still and Let God be your defense.

Two wrongs do not make a right, so counteract the wrong with Christ!

Romans 12:17 says do not pay back evil for evil, instead respect what is right for all men.

Ephesians 5:13
But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

With man this is impossible, but with God All things are possible.
Even if you have to say this out loud.

IM Hitting Pause!

Then Pray!
Lord you are my defense, you are my justice system. Lord thank for your deliverance!
Lord I ask for the strength to Love this person right Now! Help me to remember that I am living in a temporary attack! Help me to stay open to your counsel! Lord, help me to choose your love over resentment! Help me to rest and Trust that you have this situation in your hands! I receive your peace, help me to hold onto it! In JESUS Name! ❤️️

Pray for a Pause!

Take off the Death Clothes

By: Jessica Huber

IMG_4818

You Are Alive In Christ, it’s time to take off the coverings meant for Death and Go!
Walk! Take off the Old self and proudly sport the New! When Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead He said “take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Remember Lazarus was dead for 4 days. His body was wrapped with linens and placed in the tomb.
When we were in sin, we were dead and wrapped with the same preparation for death.

Ephesians 2
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

After the resurrection of Christ, Peter walked into the empty tomb, he found the linens that were wrapped around JESUS. They were lying there.
JESUS took off the dead clothes, and so should we!

Brothers and Sisters we have to set the Example for our future siblings. There are souls that are looking and seeking! Right now they may have no idea what they are even looking for, but they know they are tired of the same old cycle. They are tired wearing death day after day. I’m telling you, when God is displayed in our lives, it draws people in for a closer look.
When they see His work Glorified within our actions and behavior it’s hard to ignore. We are to be set apart for a reason, if we are blending in and wearing our old, how does it help them to find the New?

Who ever Finds Him, Finds Life!
Proverbs 8:35

Some of us are new to the family and some have been in it as long as they can remember. Just because we have proclaimed Jesus as The Lord of our life, it does not always mean we are setting a good example of it.

The thing is, the moment we accept The Lord as our savior, our New life begins. A New Creation is Born. Our head is adorned with a crown of life and our feet are positioned on a path and its up to us to walk.
It’s up to us to acknowledge WHO directs each step.
Sadly, a lot of us get lost in the glory of our forgiveness and we take it for granted.
Our legs are healed, but we forget to walk. We are forgiven and yet we sit.
We forget about the mission. We forget that there are people who desperately hunger for something more.

Isaiah 52:7  How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Romans 6
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life

You are never too young or too old in this walk to make a difference.

Eyes are on the proclaimed Christians.
Will we be perfect and never step off the path? No, this is why we should be careful not to get too haughty or too mighty. No one is exempt from needing a correction. If you are going to receive Grace you need to be able to Give it.
Remember ..Forgiven, Loved, Redeemed!!
Not by Our works but by HIS!
No power of darkness Can separate us from His Love!

So are you getting the point of the walk?

The Father of the prodigal son still loved that foolish boy, even while he was off eating the pig food.
The point is, he was in a place where he didn’t belong. His place was at home with the Father. He was not to be wearing rags or eating scraps meant for animals. He was to be eating the finest food and sporting..,as scripture says, the BEST robe. Luke 15

What is The Point of being washed and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, if we are going to turn around and enter a fashion show wearing our OLD dirty clothes?
What are new believers and non believers to gain by watching this?

Why eat junk and share it with our friends and family, when we have The Bread of Life? Why cover with rags, when The Father has given us the Finest robe?

There is a reason we were called to walk! There is a reason we were given The Holy Spirit “The Helper” while we walk here on this earth.

When we keep our feet on the path we are showing others, God in Action! We are a walking, living, proof of His Glory!!
Ephesians 4 :17-32
17So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; 19and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. 20But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Philippians 4
8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, PRACTICE these things,

May God Bless Your Walk Today!

Watch Out! When we Vent the pot, the Steam is Hot!

Watch Out! When we Vent the pot, the Steam is Hot!

So many times we get together with a good friend and the RELEASE begins! We UnlOaD! Are we doing ourselves a disservice? We have to look at it through spiritual eyes and ask, are we being harmed by the excess steam?
It’s definitely good to have a close friend to discuss our concerns and share our life experiences, but we need to be mindful of the atmosphere that we are creating. It’s not good for us or the friend lending the ear. I’m not saying to bottle everything up, but sometimes it can start a frenzy of unnecessary negativity. We need to remember to be careful that in the process of sharing our concerns, we are not taking back what we have previously placed in Gods hands.

Let’s say you are serving as the sounding board, as brothers and sisters In Christ, we need to be the ones steering the conversation in His direction. We need to be Charging the Faith and witnessing with truth. Be an encourager, notice when your friend is too close to the situation, notice when your friend is in danger of looking through worldly eyes. Be that for them! Point out scripture, reassure them That God is in control!

Its critical to Have God as our number One Go To!
Give it to Him and Trust! Pray that in the meantime, He will strengthen your self control.  Ask Him to fill you with His Comfort and Peace. He is the Only one that can take care of this situation properly. Give it and Leave it!

Every time you complain or Hash a situation out Again, unfortunately your taking it back into your own hands.
Next time you or your friend decides to bring a vent session to the table, first ask ..

Have We given this problem to God yet?

What will we gain from talking about this?

If you are looking for a prayer Warrior, by all means proceed! If you are looking for someone who can encourage and point you to Christ and His Word, then proceed! If you need a little cry, let the floodgates Go!
But…
If you see that the conversation is leading to reliving worry and hurt, then .. Drop IT! You are at risk of being burned!
If God has it, then You do not need to stir up emotions that are already being dealt with! Stay In Gods Peace!
Talk about something that makes you Smile!! Enjoy this precious time with your friend, laugh!

1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

Ephesians 4:29
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

2 Timothy 1:7                                               For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

God Bless!
